Global Baby Boys
by Maya Ajmera
Available in board book format. (Amazon)
We picked up Global Baby Boys back when H. hit that stage of infancy where they just want to look at other babies all the time, and it was an instant hit. He loves the pictures and for a very long time, this got read to him daily.
There are a few other books in the series, including Global Baby Girls and Global Baby Bedtime, all of which are put out by the Global Fund for Children, so you can get your kid some social skills and help out other babies at the same time.
Big Bird's Color Game
by Tom Cooke
Available in board book format. (Amazon)
Big Bird's Color Game is basically a game of eye spy, hosted by everyone's favorite overgrown canary. Each page features a bunch of items that are all the same color, and Big Bird describes the item he's thinking of. Pretty basic stuff. This is actually one of my books from when I was a kid, and I'm honestly impressed that I managed to find this on Amazon, since it's been around longer than I have, although it does look like it's been updated at some point since the early 80's.
Match-up Analysis
These are both heavy hitters. Global Baby Boys spent a long time as the designated changing table book, until it was eventually usurped by Big Bird's Color Game. They still both get flipped through on the regular.
Prediction
While I think it will be a close one, I feel like Big Bird's Color Game will win the day.
Results
It was a close one, and H. waffled for a minute before choosing Global Baby Boys.
Up Next
Global Baby Boys is up against the winner of Jungle Book and Sleep Baby, Safe and Snug on April 22nd.
